Charges Filed Against Alonzo Paige

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -

Official charges were filed Friday against the man accused of shooting four people, killing two of them.

Alonzo Paige is the prime suspect in the Jan. 24th shooting at the Timberlane Apartments, 3985 E. Bijou St., near the North Academy Boulevard intersection. Officers found two men dead and two others injured. Marquise Bean, 20, and Andrew Encalade, 23, died in the shooting. Jareem Vanterpool, 21, and Adam Encalade, 26, Andrew's brother, were treated for gunshot wounds.

The following charges, all felonies, were filed against Paige on Friday:

~First degree murder - after deliberation - 2 counts ~First degree murder - extreme indifference - 2 counts ~First degree assault with a deadly weapon, causing seriously bodily injury ~First degree assault - extreme indifference ~Second degree assault causing injury with a deadly weapon
