New Details About Man Accused of Pimping Child

Trevor Baker's arrest affidavit reveals new details about accusations that he prostituted a 16-year-old girl.
According to police, Baker, 20, was caught with the 16-year-old and an 18-year-old who he had started pimping at the Travel Lodge Motel near Cimarron and 26th Streets.
Police said the 16-year-old's mother had found out what was going on and called them. Officers found Baker with the girl in his car smoking marijuana in front of the motel. Less than two hours later, Baker waived his Miranda rights and starting talking to police.
Police said Baker claimed he met the girl through a friend at The Underground, a Colorado Springs bar, and that she said she was 18 years old. He said he and the girl became "best friends," and talked about their financial problems. Baker said he brought up prostitution as a way to make money and the girl agreed to it.
Police said Baker admitted to posting an escort ad for the girl and arranging meetings with johns. He said he pimped the girl to three different men, charging $150 for 30 minutes of sex. Baker said he and the girl split the $450 they made.
Baker told police an 18-year-old friend said she wanted in on the arrangement the day before he was arrested. Baker said he and the teen had the same business agreement that he made with the 16-year-old.
Baker said he and the 16-year-old were waiting at the Travel Lodge while the 18-year-old was with a john when police found them.
Police aren't confirming whether any of the johns involved in this case have been contacted. Baker told police he bought a pre-paid cell phone to arrange the meetings, and most likely, police are now in possession of it.
Police aren't giving interviews about the case because they say it's open investigation, which means there could still be other girls who were involved.
Baker remains out on bond, and will be in court for his next hearing on May 25. According to his Facebook page he works as a DJ. KRDO Newschannel 13 approached him at his advisement hearing for comment Wednesday, but all he would say was, "I didn't do it."
