A 14-year-old brain surgery patient is aiming to make the holidays a little brighter for her fellow patients.
Savannah Day suffers from hemiplegic migraines and recently underwent brain surgery at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Day asked her sisters and friends to help her spread holiday cheer by asking them to donate a toy, reports TheIndyChannel.com. The girls gathered more than 4,000 toys, loaded them on a tractor-trailer and brought them to the children's hospital for all the patients who have to spend their Christmas in the hospital.
Day has been shown tremendous support through her battle and told the TheIndyChannel that she hopes the other patients "know someone cares about them" as well.
