ASPEN, Colo. -

A Colorado sheriff's office dispatcher confirms that one person died and two people were injured when a plane crashed at the Aspen airport.
Thomas Wright, a dispatcher with the Pitkin County Sheriff's Office, says three people were aboard the plane Sunday. He says one person was severely injured and another suffered non-serious injuries.
Aspen Valley Hospital spokeswoman Ginny Dyche says the facility admitted two patients involved in the crash.
FAA spokesman Allen Kenitzer said the plane was headed from Tucson, Ariz., and crashed upon landing.
Aspen is located in the Rocky Mountains about 100 miles southwest of Denver.
