30,000 expected to pack downtown for Fan Fest

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -

Colorado Springs will kick off hill climb weekend with a huge party downtown Friday night.

Fan fest kicks off at 5 p.m. and lasts until 10. Tejon Street is blocked between Colorado Avenue and Bijou Street for the event.

Fan fest features a beer garden, live bands, a chili cook-off, motorcycle jumpers and other live entertainment.

Top qualifiers for the 91st Pikes Peak International Hill Climb will show off their vehicles, give driver demos and sign autographs.

Hill climb fans will have an opportunity to buy merchandise and tickets to this weekend's race as well.

The 91st annual International Hill Climb kicks off Sunday morning at 8 a.m. You can listen to a live broadcast of the race on KRDO NewsRadio 105.5 FM and 1240 AM, which also streams live here on KRDO.com.
