Car of missing Denver woman found in Pueblo

PUEBLO, Colo -

The car of a missing Denver woman has been found in Pueblo. But 21-year-old Kelsie Schelling is still missing. She's been missing for more than a week. She was last seen in Pueblo.

Police aren't saying where in Pueblo the car was found, only that there was no one inside the car. Around noon Thursday, police found Schelling's black, 2011 Chevy Cruze.

"Detectives are gonna try to go through it extensively so they can try to gather as much information as they can," said Sgt. Eric Gonzales.

Gonzales says detectives will be examining Schelling's car for any clues of her whereabouts. Police say someone saw her in Pueblo on February 5, but Pueblo police don't know if she's still in Pueblo. On Thursday afternoon Kelsie's family wrote on Facebook: "We still think Kelsie is in Pueblo."

Kelsie has dark brown hair and hazel eyes. She's 5'4'' and weighs 120 pounds. She also has several tattoos. She has a Chinese symbol on the back of her neck, cursive writing on the inside of her left arm, and a Fleur-de-lis on her right rib cage.

Police say Schelling's boyfriend lives in Pueblo and is cooperating with police on the investigation.

Those who have information on Schelling's whereabouts are asked to the Pueblo Police Department at 719-553-2502.
