Former CSPD officer Joshua Carrier Sentenced to 70 years to life in prison

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo -

Former Colorado Springs Police Officer Joshua Carrier is sentenced to 70 years to life in prison for molesting 18 boys who were students at Horace Mann Middle School.

The judge sentenced Carrier to 10-years to life on seven counts, totaling the 70-life sentence.

Carrier will also have to serve 20-years-to-life on parole if and when he is released from prison.

The sentences on the other counts will run concurrent to the 70-life sentence.

The judge first set the minimum sentences for each count.

Those minimums are:

Count 1 - 8 years
Count 2 - at least 5 years
Count 3 - 8 years
Count 4 - 7 years
Count 5 - 7 years
Count 6 - 10 years
Count 7 - 10 years
Count 8 - 6 years
Count 9 - 8 years
Count 10 - 6 years
Count 11 - 4 years
Count 12 - 4 years
Count 13 - 10 years
Count 14 - 10 years
Count 15 - 10 years
Count 16 - 10 years
Count 17 - 8 years
Count 18 - 5 years
Count 19 - (Not sure)

The judge then decided on the actual sentences and has given Carrier seven, 10-year-to-life sentences. The sentences for the other counts will be concurrent to these seven.
