Cadaver dog with K9 Forensic Unit sniffing for scent of Dylan Redwine

DURANGO, Colo. -

A K9 Forensic unit from New Mexico searched Vallecito Lake on Sunday  for a missing Monument teenager.

Dylan Redwine, 14, disappeared the week before Thanksgiving in 2012 while visiting his father near Durango, Colorado.

The cadaver dogs searched Vallecito Lake in November for Redwine, but did not find anybody or any clues.

The dogs went back out Sunday with their handlers. A crew cut into the frozen lake, while the dogs sniffed around for any scent of Dylan, according to the unit's Facebook page.

It is unknown whether any scent was picked up by the dogs.

The family is keeping the community updated through a special Facebook page for Dylan: https://www.facebook.com/FindMissingDylanRedwine
