A memorial service for fallen Colorado Springs Police Officer Matthew Tyner was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

The funeral was held at New Life Church, 11025 Voyager Parkway, Colorado Springs.

After the funeral, a procession made its way through Colorado Springs.  The procession went west on Interquest Parkway to I-25, I-25 south to Uintah, east on Uintah to Nevada, and south on Nevada passing City Hall and the Police Operations Center. Click here to see photos from the procession.

Gov. John Hickenlooper ordered flags be lowered to half-staff Tuesday on all public buildings statewide in honor of Officer Tyner.

Officer Tyner died after his motorcycle collided with a vehicle while he was conducting traffic enforcement last Tuesday. The collision is under investigation.

He joined the Colorado Springs Police Department in 1999 and served as a patrol officer, neighborhood resource officer and training academy instructor before becoming part of the motorcycle unit.
