I joined KRDO NewsChannel 13 in July 2013 as a multimedia journalist, which means I shoot, write and edit a lot of my stories and I shoot a lot of my footage on an iPhone. KRDO is my first professional television job.
Before coming to the Springs, I was in the Entertainment Capital of the World, Las Vegas. I interned at KVVU-TV, and KTNV-TV. I also wrote for the Pulitzer Prize winning newspapers The Las Vegas Sun and The Los Angeles Times.
I went to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where I graduated with a bachelors in broadcast journalism and a minor in history. I was also heavily involved with UNLV-TV, the university's television station.
When I am not working, I like to watch sports, hike, watch movies, go bowling, travel around and see what Colorado has to offer.
One of the many things I believe a reporter should do is give a voice to the voiceless. If you have any story ideas you want to share, or you just want to say hello, you can e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org or tweet me on Twitter.
