Colorado Springs police said they were able to end a standoff with the help of a police K-9 and rubber bullets.

Police surrounded a home on Copper Mountain Drive Saturday night trying to get one man to leave. That's near the intersection of Flintridge and Vickers Drives.

A spokesman for the police department said the man and a woman got into a fight and he shot one round outside.

Then, police said the woman left the home.  When they arrived on the scene, the man refused to cooperate.

Police and swat team members attempted negotiations for about 3 hours.

Finally, officers were able to take him into custody with the help of their canine unit.

The woman wasn't hurt.
