There was heavy police activity while police searched for three suspects on the west side of Colorado Springs Wednesday night.

Police were on the hunt for a man wanted on several warrants Wednesday night, after they say he and two friends got in a car chase with officers, then ran from their vehicle.

It started when a bail bondsman called police to report that he was following a car that reportedly had a bank robbery suspect inside.

Police caught up with blue SUV near the Dunkin' Donuts at 8th and Colorado.

There was a short chase before the suspects abandoned the car at 13th and Bijou.

Police said one of the men in the car ran into a woman's home on 14th Street. The woman who lives in the house was hesitant to give details for fear of retaliation, but said she called police and felt "protected" by what she had in the home.

Officers said the man who ran into the home and one other man were tracked down by K-9 units. It's not clear if the paor was wanted for any prior crimes.

Officers described the man they're still looking for as white or Hispanic, about 5'8 and 180 lbs and said he may be wearing a white stocking cap.
