Pueblo hit and run suspect turns himself in

PUEBLO, Colo. -

One man was arrested in connection with a hit and run accident that happened early Sunday morning in Pueblo.

Police said 25-year-old Diego Fernando Quintana-Fernandez turned himself Sunday morning.

Quintana-Fernandez is accused of hitting a middle-aged woman with his vehicle at intersection of Troy Avenue and Oakshire Lane around 12:15 a.m. Sunday.

When officers arrived, they found the injured woman in the middle of the northbound lanes of Troy Avenue. She was brought to Parkview Hospital and is in critical condition.

Quintana-Fernandez was arrested for vehicular assault, leaving the scene of
an accident involving serious bodily injury, and driving under the influence, police said.
