COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -

Colorado Springs Police are trying to track down a man who they say stabbed another man to death outside of the El Vecino Apartments.

Efrain Murillo-Mejia, 32, was killed on January 28, 2014. His body was found around 7 a.m. in a parking lot at the complex in the 1800 block of Monterey Road.

On Thursday, February 6, 2014, Springs police announced they have a suspect in the killing. Officers are looking for Hermis Pineda-Lara, 36.

Both the victim and the suspect are from Honduras and police say they believe Pineda-Lara is making arrangements to leave Colorado Springs.

Police say Pineda-Lara should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see him you are asked to call police or 9-1-1 right away. You can also leave an anonymous tip by calling Crime Stoppers at 719-634-STOP (7867).
