KRDO has teamed up with Colorado College to broadcast CC Tiger Hockey Games on KRDO NewsRadio 105.5 FM and 1240 AM.
In a news release, Colorado College announced that KRDO NewsRadio is the new flagship station for the CC Tiger Sports Network.
KRDO's broadcasts, featuring award-winning play-by-play sage Ken Landau behind the microphone, can be heard loudly and clearly throughout the greater Colorado Springs and Pueblo areas, as well as worldwide on KRDO.com and through the KRDO NewsRadio app for iPhone and Android.
"KRDO NewsRadio 105.5 FM and 1240 AM is thrilled to have Colorado College Hockey back," said Mike Lewis, program director for KRDO. "Working with our TV partners at KRDO NewsChannel 13, we will provide Tiger fans in-depth coverage of this winning Division I team on radio, TV, Internet and on KRDO smart phone apps."
In addition to all Tiger games, home and away, KRDO will air the hour-long Scott Owens Coach's Show once each month during the season. The station also will deliver on another account, treating CC's fans to a 15-minute increase - from 22 to 37 - in duration of each and every pre-game show.

"We're very excited to have this association with KRDO again," said Owens, who enters his 15th season at the CC helm with a record of 317-204-68. "It's somewhat of a natural fit in that KRDO has a historical understanding of CC hockey and has a strong local sports presence as well. We look forward to the rekindled but new relationship with KRDO!"
The partnership also includes promotion of Tiger Hockey outside of the regular game broadcasts throughout the season on radio and television (KRDO NewsChannel 13) via live interviews, CC Hockey talk and promotional spots. In addition, a special CC Hockey segment will air throughout the season on KRDO's new Sports Edition on Sunday nights at 10:30 p.m.
"I couldn't be more thrilled about our new agreement with KRDO," said Scott Lowenberg, associate athletics director at Colorado College. "Now all of our hockey games, home and away, will be aired live on 105.5 FM, 1240 AM, the Internet and even via a phone app. And the additional promotion on KRDO Radio and TV is really something special. I can't even put a value on it. That just shows how valuable Tiger Hockey is to this community and to KRDO."
