Three fires on separate occasions at Sunset Creek Apartments might as well be like three strikes for Tiffani and Alexander Schultz.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -

Three fires on separate occasions at Sunset Creek Apartments might as well be like three strikes for Tiffani and Alexander Schultz.

Three fires hit their building, Sunset Creek Apartments, in less than two weeks. The latest one happened this morning (04/26/14).

After the fires, the Schultzes decided to find a new place to live.

“We were very scared, because you don’t know if someone is coming to your room, you don’t know if it’s someone that’s going to be at your door to start a fire,” Tiffani Schultz said.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department says the third fire was out before firefighters arrived and people made it out safely.

We talked to the assistant manager at Sunset Creek Apartments over the phone about what management is going to do in response to the three fires. He said the Colorado Springs Fire Department and police department are handling the cases and their security officers will be on the lookout for anything out of the ordinary.

Investigators are still looking into the cause of the three fires.
