Community helps residents displaced by apartment fire
The community is coming together to help residents of the Devonshire Square Apartments.
About 100 families were displaced Wednesday, when a fire broke out in the building. As of Friday, they still hadn't been able to return.
Black Forest Crosses for Losses is helping residents. They set up shop in the parking lot to give out clothing, food and other things they might need. Founder Amanda Davis said grocery and gas gift cards, formula, diapers and hygiene products are some of their needs.
The Red Cross is also helping. They set up a shelter at First United Methodist Church at 420 North Nevada Avenue.
