The remains of a Monument boy who disappeared in November have been recovered in La Plata County.
On Wednesday, the Colorado Bureau of Investigations announced it was testing items found during a five-day search for the teenager.
On Thursday, the CBI said that lab tests show that the items found were human remains, and that the remains belonged to Redwine.
Redwine's family has been notified of the discovery.
According to the Durango Herald, about 45 officers spent five days searching a 12-mile stretch of Middle Mountain Road looking for clues into the boy's disappearance. That's when the items that turned out to be his remains were recovered.
Dylan lived with his mother in the Monument area, but he went to southwest Colorado for a court-ordered visit with his father. The father says Dylan was gone when he came home from running errands Nov. 19.
The details surrounding Dylan Redwine's disappearance and death are still under investigation. Please call 970-382-7511 if you have any information.
