COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -

The parents of a missing woman from Colorado Springs are offering a cash reward for information about what happened to their daughter.

Kara Nichols hasn't been heard from since October 9, 2012.

Nichols told her friends she was going to Denver for a modeling job. She left behind her cell phone, I.D. and cash.

Kara had an online modeling profile on the site Model Mayhem and had become involved in drugs and prostitution before she went missing. Investigators say they believe foul play may be involved in the disappearance. They say for now, the case has gone cold.

Kara's parents Paul and Julia Nichols, say they are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading directly to Kara's whereabouts.

In a news release, they said "words cannot express how heartbreaking it is to love and miss our daughter, yet to not be able to help her. We are left constantly wondering and grieving her absence. Many tips have come during the investigation, but none have led us to answers. It's been frustrating for everyone involved in the search for Kara."
