Fort Carson to welcome home about 250 soldiers
About 250 soldiers based at Fort Carson are set to return home after spending the last nine months serving in Kuwait.
The soldiers from the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division will be honored during a ceremony Monday. They were deployed to the Middle East to help with security cooperation, joint exercises and training.
Fort Carson officials say the soldiers partnered with members of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces with to strengthen ties between the United States and Kuwait and to promote security and stability in the region.
