COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -

Colorado Springs Police are investigating its fourth sexual assault report in two weeks.

The most recent attack happened at around 11:30 Wednesday morning in the 3900 block of east Bijou Street.

The victim told police there was a knock at her door. When she opened it, a man forced his way into her home. The man knocked the woman to the ground and then raped her.

The attacker in this case is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a stocky build. The victim says the man who attacked her is physically fit, has short spikey hair, blue yes, and his teeth were brown. The man was wearing a blue shirt, jeans, and black Nike shoes.

Police do not think this attack is connected to the other three, two of which happened on Monday.

In the first attack around 12:30 a.m., two men broke into a woman's apartment on Westmeadow Drive near Fort Carson on the city's south side.  One man held the woman on the ground and raped her at gunpoint while the other man burglarized the apartment.

Police said the man who committed the rape was dressed in black. There is no description available for the second man.

Then, around 11:15 p.m., a woman was smoking a cigarette in her backyard when she was knocked down and raped by a man at knifepoint.  It happened on Diamond Rim Drive in the Northgate area.  That man also was dressed in black.

Police made a quick arrest in the case of a sex assault June 19 near the Hillside Community Center.  A woman was walking along Fountain Boulevard when a man asked her for a lighter.  The man proceeded to drag the woman by her hair, down a hill to a wooded area where she was choked and raped.

Police said a youth playing basketball nearby saw the woman injured and called for help. She said she was going to a nearby food bank for her children when she was attacked.

Two days later, police arrested Mark Garcia, 46, a nearby resident, on suspicion of the crime.  Police said a center employee told them the victim's description of her assailant matched that of a man who regularly rode his bicycle in the neighborhood.

Prosecutors successfully argued for a high bond of $500,000 for Garcia given the violent nature of the assault and its proximity to the center with children nearby.
