A girl scout from Colorado Springs is selling cookies on Super Bowl Sunday.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -

It's that time of year when you may have a Girl Scout knocking on your door asking you to buy those delicious Girl Scout Cookies. Instead of getting ready for the Super Bowl, she's trying to capitalize on it.

Girl Scout Brooke Middents and her mom, Shannon, walked through the snow on Super Bowl Sunday.

Brooke's goal is to sell 200 boxes of girl scouts cookies in about a month. The first knock, the neighbor didn't want cookies, but he did make a $10 donation.

"Give the cookies to the next neighbor, to the next kids down the street, okay?" said a neighbor. "Thank you for helping us!" said Brooke. "Yes, you bet," said the neighbor.

"It helps out our girl scout troop to raise money for other events we would like to do," said Middents.

Brooke tried again and again, but either they weren't interested or no one answered the door.

"A little bit disappointed that not a lot of people would like to buy some Girl Scout Cookies."

But several houses later, she finally found a taker.

"Hi, my name is Brooke and I'm in girl scouts and I was wondering if you would like to buy some girl scout cookies," asked Middents. "Do you accept check or just cash?" asked the neighbor. "We take both," said Brooke.

"It felt good that somebody finally decided to buy some," said Middents.

Back to Brooke's block, her next door neighbor said yes to four boxes. Brooke also has another plan for success.

"While the game is actually going, we can go out and sell some more," she said.

She didn't have to wait until kick off because I, Reporter Olivia Wilmsen, couldn't resist a box of Thin Mints.

Brooke will be back at it again looking for more buyers who still have a sweet tooth.
