Police say a Colorado Springs man lured another man to a Denver motel with an offer of sex, then handcuffed and robbed him while posing as a U.S. marshal.

Michael Todd Abromovich, 43, stole a computer and iPad from the victim before releasing him according to investigators.

Abromovich was arrested in Phoenix last week and was extradited to Denver on charges of kidnapping, theft and impersonating an officer. He hasn't entered a plea. Court records don't indicate whether he has an attorney.

Abromovich also faces a theft charge in El Paso County. Details weren't immediately available.

KCNC-TV in Denver, which first reported the arrest, said Abromovich was a pastor at the Set Free ministry in Colorado Springs. No one answered the phone at the ministry Wednesday. Details of his role weren't known.
