COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -

Colorado Springs Police are investigating a robbery at a southeast side entertainment store.

The crime happened on Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at 7:54 p.m. The Entertainmart that was robbed is located at 651 n. Academy Blvd.

Police say a man asked the sales associate to see a cell phone stored inside of a sales case. When the associate handed the phone to the man, he demanded two more similar phones and pulled up his hoody to reveal a gun inside his waistband. The associate gave the man two more phones and he ran from the store.

According to police, surveillance video showed the man running to a bluish colored SUV or minivan with a luggage rack on the top of the vehicle. Surveillance video also showed the suspect entering the store minutes before the robbery with a second man.

The robber is described as being 20 to 30-years-old with blond hair and blue eyes. He was wearing an orange and blue baseball cap, a blue hoody, black pants and white shoes. Police say he was armed with a silver semi-automatic handgun.

The man he walked into the store with is described as being between 20 and 30-years-old. He may have had a ponytail. The man was wearing a white scarf, gray hooded jacket, black shirt, blue jeans and black and white colored basketball shoes. Police say this man may have been the getaway driver.

The description of the robber in this case is similar to the description of the person or people who robbed two 7-Eleven convenience stores later Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Click here to read more about those crimes.
