The third sexual assault in four days prompts worry across Colorado Springs. Joe Dominguez reports.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -

Police are on the hunt for a man who pushed his way into a woman's apartment Wednesday morning and sexually assaulted her.

The woman told investigators about what happened while being evaluated at the hospital that afternoon. She answered her door around 11:30 a.m. The man burst through, knocked her down and raped her.

She described the man as Hispanic, 5 feet 7 inches tall with a stocky build and spiky hair. The woman told police her attacker had blue eyes and brown teeth. He was wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans, and black Nike shoes.

Neighbors said they'll be on guard for similar attacks in the neighborhood.

"Now I have to really be on the lookout, have a stun gun and some other things," said Jennifer Everall who has lived near the scene of the attack for the last three years. "Still, I don't want to have to worry about using that."

Police said this attack does not immediately appear to be connected to the other recent stranger sex assault cases.

On Monday, a woman was sexually assaulted while her apartment was burglarized on Westmeadow Drive on the south side of Colorado Springs. The woman told police she was raped at gunpoint by a black man while another man robbed her.

Also Monday, a woman on Diamond Rim Drive said she was sexually assaulted while smoking in her back yard. She told police that a white man wearing a ski mask and all black hit her then raped her with a knife to her throat.
