The El Paso county Assessor's office says fewer homes burned in the Black Forest Fire than first thought.

In a newly released report, the county says a total of 486 homes were destroyed. Fewer than the 511 homes that were originally reported as destroyed.

Of the 486 homes that burned, 25 were mobile homes.

The report also says that 30 detached garages were destroyed, and 37 homes were damaged.

The total value of the residential losses in the Black Forest Fire is $85,444,052.

Five properties are not accessible because of locked gates or debris.

The assessor's office is still finishing up its report on out-buildings, commercial property, and land that was lost in the fire.

The Black Forest Fire started on June 11 and was 100-percent contained on June 20. It burned 14,280 acres.
