The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office

Christopher Robinson, 44

PUEBLO WEST, Colo. -

A Pueblo West man is facing attempted murder charges after deputies say he hit a woman and fired a gun at her.

It happened early Sunday morning at a home in the 900 block of Camino Pablo Drive.

The Pueblo County Sheriff's Office says the woman left the home and met with deputies in a safe location. They then went to the home to investigate, and to talk to Christopher Robinson.

Robinson, 44, was arrested. He's facing numerous charges including attempted second-degree murder, criminal mischief, menacing, third-degree assault, and domestic violence.

Pueblo County Sheriff Kirk Taylor said the specialized skills of the different units at the Sheriff’s Office are ultimately one big team whose efforts benefit the victims of crime.  “Our 911 center, patrol units, investigations, detention deputies, and victim's advocates -- everyone has a very specific job to do, but that all starts with a victim being willing to make the life-saving phone call.” Taylor said.
