About 30 people and search-and-rescue dogs are still looking for the brother of Colorado Sen. Mark Udall in western Wyoming's Wind River Range.
James "Randy" Udall was due back from a week-long solo backpacking trip a week ago. He was reported missing Friday and the search entered a sixth day Wednesday.
Sublette County Sheriff's Office spokesman Steve Smith says Udall may have been headed for the scenic Titcomb Basin. That's what Udall wrote on a sign-in sheet at the trailhead and he told his wife that was his plan.
The basin is just south of Gannett Peak, which at 13,800 feet is the highest mountain in Wyoming.
Helicopters are carrying searchers into the mountains each day. Two helicopters also are being used to look for Udall from the air.
