School is closed early again because of bomb threats

EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. -

Colorado Springs Police say no explosives were found after a thorough search of Vista Ridge High School.

A bomb threat was called into the school Thursday morning for the second time in as many days.

A spokeswoman for the school district, Stephanie Wurtz, said that an anonymous threat came into the school Thursday morning. Wurtz said the students and staff were evacuated and buses took the students to Skyview Middle School where parents picked them up.

This is the second bomb threat called into the school this week. Vista Ridge was evacuated on Wednesday after a similar bomb threat. School officials said this is senior prank week, although they do not know if that has anything to do with the threats.
