Charges filed in crash that killed mother, young son

Two-vehicle crash Friday injures mother's young daughter and second driver who ran stop sign.

FALCON, Colo. -

A woman accused of causing a crash that took the life of a mother and her 3-year-old son is facing charges.

The accident happened at the intersection of Judge Orr Road and Log Road on July 12.

Troopers said Nicole Enderle, 42, was driving a 2006 Chrysler Town & Country van on Judge Orr Road. Enderle's two children, Alexander, 3, and Zoe, 2, were also in the van.

Enderle was driving westbound on Judge Orr Road, troopers said, when a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV ran a stop sign, crashing into Enderle's van.

Enderle and Alexander were killed in the crash. Zoe was taken to Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the SUV has been identified as Arica Vlach, 31, from Peyton. Vlach suffered serious injuries in the crash and was airlifted to Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs.

Troopers said everyone in the minivan was properly strapped in with seat belts. Vlach was not wearing her seat belt.
