Meet a man who drives to help save lives on the road.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo -

One man's push to help others is spilling over to save lives.  Sgt Landon Miller is with the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team at Fort Carson.  He is a go to guy when a phone or internet isn't working on post.  Off post, he is also the go to guy when it comes to driving people home when they think they've had too much to drink.  Miller tells me, "It makes me feel good to know that they went home safely.  Someone is actually making a responsible decision and doing the right thing."

Sgt Miller volunteers with Designated Driver of Colorado Springs.  Since April, he's volunteered more than 120 hours to drive people home after a night of drinking.  Nonie Rispin is with this life saving organization.  She tells me that Landon is the kind of volunteer she and her organization can count on, "He's one of those drivers I can absolutely count on 150 percent of the time."

Of the 812 people who've volunteered for the program,  95 percent of them are active duty military like Sgt Landon Miller.  Most of this military group are also from Fort Carson.
