Springs jury convicts man of double murder

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -

A jury has convicted a Colorado Springs man of shooting four people, killing two of them. The verdict was handed down just before 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2013.

The shooting happened on January 24, 2012 at an apartment complex in the 3900 block of E. Bijou Street.

Marquise Bean, 20, and Andrew Encalade, 23, died in the shooting. Jareem Vanterpool, 21, and Adam Encalade, 26, Andrew's brother, were treated for gunshot wounds.

Paige turned himself in after spending more than a month dodging attempts by police to catch him.

According to a KRDO.com report dated March 9, 2012, Paige was charged with several crimes including 2 counts of first degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
