COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -

Colorado Springs police are investigating the body of a man found in North Cheyenne Cañon Park.

Police said a group of descending rock climbers found the body around 6:30 p.m. Saturday aside Mt. Cutler.

The man apparently fell.  He carried no identification, police said.

"He had taken a serious tumble, and we're investigating whether or not this was accidental or something else," said Sgt. Jim Jeffcoat.  "At this point, we (don't suspect) foul play."

The Colorado Springs Fire Department's High Angle Rescue Team recovered the body around 11 p.m. Saturday.

Jeffcoat said no one had been reported missing Saturday, and police were checking parked vehicles in the park to determine if one belonged to the victim.  The man wore a tattoo that could help identify him, Jeffcoat said.

The El Paso County Coroner's Office will perform an autopsy to determine the man's cause and manner of death.
