Introducing a new way to share information about lost and found pets in southern Colorado!

The Pet Finder app on and the KRDO NewsChannel 13 Facebook Page is your new go-to place to let the community know about your lost pet, and to view a photo gallery of pets that have been reported missing by others.

Using the app is easy and 100% free.

Anyone is welcome to view a photo slideshow of pets that have been reported missing through the app.

Adding a photo and information about your missing pet requires filling out a quick and easy registration form.

Photos and information that are submitted to the app have to be approved by staff before they become publicly viewable.

"We know there is a demand for a resource like this in our community", said KRDO NewsChannel 13 Digital Content Director Chris Loveless. "We frequently receive requests from our Facebook fans to share information about missing pets. This app puts the power of social media in the hands of our users who will be able to upload the photos and information themselves. We encourage people who use the app to share it on Facebook, Twitter and other social networks. The more the community embraces this tool, the more likely it is to be effective."

Loveless says more than two million people visit in an average month, which means people who use this app will have a much bigger potential audience than they would if the station were to only share a photo on Facebook.

Click here to use the app on, or like KRDO NewsChannel 13 on Facebook and click on the Pet Finder app to get started.
