Dominique Hagens & Jasmin Stokes

WOODLAND PARK, Colo. -

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation says two people who were arrested during a traffic stop in Woodland Park are suspected of robbing a man at a Cripple Creek casino.

KRDO NewsChannel 13 viewers reported seeing the arrest happen near the Woodland Park Walmart during the evening rush hour on Wednesday, January 15, 2014.

CBI says the robbery and assault happened at the Midnight Rose earlier that day when Dominique Hagens and Jasmin Stokes of Colorado Springs assaulted and then robbed a 22-year-old guest at the casino and hotel.

CBI says a struggle between the suspects and the victim spilled out of a room and into the hallway of the Midnight Rose.

An investigation was immediately launched by the Cripple Creek Police Department, who called the CBI for assistance.

Woodland Park Police stopped a vehicle that matched the description of the suspects' vehicle at East Highway 24 and Morning Sun Drive at 4:30 p.m. That's when the pair was arrested.

Hagens and Stokes are facing charges for aggravated robbery and first degree assault. They are being held in the Teller County Jail.

CBI says the victim was treated at an urgent care facility in Pueblo for non-life threatening injuries.
