Woman flees possible police impersonator
Authorities in suburban Denver say a possible police impersonator prompted a woman to pull over in traffic, but she drove away unharmed when she became suspicious.
It was at least the second such incident in the Denver area in 16 days.
The woman said a man activated dash-mounted emergency lights in a black car in Sheridan on Wednesday morning, so she stopped. After the man took her driver's license and other documents, he asked her to get out of her car.
She refused, rolled up the window and drove away.
Another woman told Aurora police a man pulled her hair and tried to grab her keys on March 31 when she asked for his badge number after a bogus traffic stop. She said she punched him and drove away.
