PUEBLO, Colo. -

Northbound I-25 is now open through Pueblo after being closed at 1st Street because of a crash.

The accident happened on the interstate just north of 13th Street at 3:24 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2013.

Police say 71-year-old Lorene Laube was driving a maroon Buick Century southbound in the northbound lanes of I-25.

Laube crashed her car head-on into a Toyota Corolla being driven by 55-year-old Michael Martinez, according to investigators.

Laube and Martinez were both taken to area hospitals with serious injuries.

Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash.

I-25 was closed for approximately two hours during the investigation.
