Total snowfall accumulations won't be terribly impressive with this storm, but in the pink shaded areas as much as 2" to 5" of snow could fall. In general we think these amounts will be pretty common over the Palmer Divide near the mountains, and for much of northern Teller county too.
In the dark pink areas as much as 4" to 8" could fall, especially if we can keep some snow falling into Tuesday morning. Amounts like this are most likely in pockets near the Wet and Sangre De Cristo mountains as well as along the Continental Divide.
In the white shaded areas, including Colorado Springs proper and areas out along US 24 towards Limon, we expect 1" to 3", mostly on the grass but some slick roadways are certainly possible overnight. Accumulations like this are also possible into Fremont county, including Canon City.
For lower elevations we do believe it will snow tonight, but much of the snow will melt on the relatively warm roadways. Still, some minor accumulations of snow are possible on cooler surfaces, especially north of the Arkansas River.
